Sometimes, but I wish I'd done it more. There are so many beautiful children's picture books available and it's a great way to end the day with little ones.
Sometimes. We have been really slack with sticking to a "routine". We go with whatever is right in the circumstances - some nights miss almost 3 wants a story, some nights a movie, some nights she plays quietly until she is tired and some nights she is so tired by bathtime that she goes straight to sleep after her bath.
Yes I did for a while, but then they really got sick of them.
They would be so busy in the day they would go straight to sleep, with no story most of the time.
Yup...they loved it. Then somehow got working longer hours, and story time was taken over by the kids as I fell asleep! Not sure how that happened but it did. I can concur they are GREAT story tellers! ;)
All the time. Truth be told, I like a lot of the children's books myself, and it seems to be a lovely way to help kids wind down for the night while getting some bonding time in. Kids also gain a love of reading and seem to pick up reading more quickly once at school when they've been read to a lot.
