Love him and went to a concert the other night
I loved the concert, but it was not FREDDIE.
He was a brilliant man who wrote some brilliant songs - one of the best!
My favourite is perhaps We Are the Champions.
Yay, Freddie and Queen!
I love Queen and I think Freddie Mercury is a musical genius. I love all their songs, and Freddie's quirky personality and great stage presence made for a great performance. I have seen the show to which Finy is referring, there was another similar show we saw, and of course, We Will Rock You the stage musical featuring their music. There is a Queen Tribute band doing the pub and club circuit which we went to, but I would advise against it. Their Freddie was a joke, and didn't even look or sound like them. They are an insult to a real Queen fan. Long Live Queen and Freddie
Lluxi - this guy in the show did not really sound like Freddie but his movements were brilliant and some of his mannerisms - read the link I supplied - but the music is good nevertheless and costumes are the same as Freddie wore.
What absolute ICONS in the entertainment field!! I grew up with their music and have continued to enjoy them immensely.Freddie Mercury, of course will never be replacable, but the band have allowed some extremely talented singers to front their music. Even Elton John has had this honour!!! They shall live on in our hearts and those of future generations for as long as music is alive!!!
Unusual fellow, but what an incredible talent! Didn't really like his stuff outside Queen though. Probably my favourite group of all time? Songs like Killer Queen & Somebody to love - absolute genius! Then of course there's Bohemian Rhapsody - a timeless hit. His passing was a terrible loss to the performing arts industry and Queen will never has not never will sound the same again.
Yes I loved Queen and Freddy Mercury. I saw them in concert once. They were supreme showmen.
I recently saw a documentary about Freddy and unfortunately it made me like him less as I saw a side of his personality I didn't like. I still admire his great talent and think his death was a sad loss.
