Did you go to school by bus, car, bike or walk?

I can't remember.....try as i might I cannot remember - I know I did not walk - oh i think i caught a bus when in high school as we lived in Kingsford and I went to Sydney Girls High in ?? Dont even know the suburb - Moore Park Road....it is too long ago.

Before that we lived in Bellevue Hill and went to local school and have no idea how I got there - have to phone my brother and ask him!!
I don't think we even had bikes at that stage, and not sure about cars, so perhaps it was bus also.

In primary school, Mum drove me to and from school. She would worry about me walking such a long distance alone. School was quite a few kilometres away, and there was a big road to cross. In the last couple of years of secondary school I started walking home from school, just to clear my head after school, and give me a bit of independence. Sometimes I would walk home with friends, if they lived near me. Mum would always come and pick me up after school if it was raining, or threatening to rain any minute. If I had already started walking, she knew my route home, so could easily find me and pick me up. Mum would always drop me at school in the morning, so that I could get every last minute of sleep !!

Walked to get the bus, then from the bus stop walked to the school.

In the UK I walked as the school was across the road. Over here it was bus to Primary school and I usually walked to high school with mates. Bike was no good as the bike racks were mile high in black mud if it rained. (plus I was serial bike pranger as my knees can attest) Depending on my dad's shifts, sometimes he would drive me to or from.

by bus or walked mainly walked home as we would walk via shopping centre and indulge in an ice cream soda also bus going home was terrible as standing room only we were packed in like sardines so much better to walk
this was primary school,
infants school walked by mother as where we lived then - no bus.
