Did you use the holiday period to get away? Prices are inflated but if you are short on leave, there is no better time to make the most of public holidays. Or do you prefer to relax at home and get things done?

Christmas - because it's more of a family gathering! And seeing how I have no family contact for 11 out of 12 months of the year, it seemed fitting.
We stayed in Sydney between Christmas and New Year, but will be heading to Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast in the middle of January. The prices for accommodation are a little more reasonable then.
I don't like going on holiday anytime of the year - especially Christmas. I want to spend that time relaxing at home with family. Very glad we didn't go on holiday; with all the storms and floods, we would have been stranded at train stations or airports with noway of getting anywhere.
I finished up at my traditional media clients office at lunch time on the 17th of December. Last day of full-time work for the year. I am back into it again tomorrow the 4th. I went away to a rural area on the Central Coast for New Years Eve, and returned to Sydney on the 2nd/yesterday and got straight into it again. Got a lot of work done at home...
February is holiday month when things are calmer. Going away on the weekend of the 22nd.

I stay home, and get a million things done, this weekend I will be painting my lounge room...while my son is away for 6 days.Plus plenty of sewing to do, and jobs that I didn't get done last year.
Yaaaaa!
Not this year. I took time out and took the chance to catch up with family instead.
