I have had a cold for about 3 weeks now which is most unusual for me - it is just starting to go.
I had a flu needle though my children all got the flu despite having the flu needle.
I do not normally get colds and if I do it is usually only for a few days.
I hope you are better soon Finy.
thanks Annnfi - am now OK but it wasnt bad - I was not sick - just bit of sore throat and nose!
No. I haven't had it yet and I am not about to count my chickens before they hatch. I'll wait until the end of September before I say that I didn't catch anything this year. I have my flu shot every year and I have never had the flu for many a year, since the vaccinations first became available. I usually catch a cold or other viruses every year, which are different to the flu. I was very sick last year for about 6-8 weeks. I even had to be hospitalised over in Germany when we were doing our European holiday. Even after it went, it took a while to recover fully and get my energy back. This year I don't believe it has been cold enough. Our winter is a lot milder here than usual in Melbourne. I haven't really come across anyone who has been sick this year which is odd. No one has been sick at my husband's work so he hasn't passed on anything to me. My daughter did catch something, but she uses public transport. We have been having temperatures of 16, 18, and 20 predicted this week in Winter. Very strange. Hardly any rain over winter as well. It has been a good season so far and hopefully I won't get sick. I come into contact with lots of different people so I am amazed but very grateful that I haven't.
No. This is in spite of being coughed on as I walked past a man in public ! I passed at the exact moment he turned his head to emit a disgusting cough all over me. Great he turned his head sparing his companion! He would have scored the point if he had covered his mouth or coughed into his elbow! I felt like I had been assaulted. Grrrrrr.
Euwwwww. Gross!!!!! Bet you wanted to bathe in carbolic :(((
