Custard, cream or ice cream with pudding?

This is the most important question I have seen asked here!!!

It depends entirely on what it is. Sticky date pudding needs vanilla ice-cream, so does apple crumble. Poached fruit needs custard. Berries or sorbet need whipped cream.

All different desserts need different toppings.

I'm a custard girl through and through. The thought of a freezing cold lump of ice cream with a hot pudding makes my teeth hurt and cream makes me sick.... custard is food of the gods though and improves any dish it accompanies :) To the point where I quite often request just custard, forget the pudding!

How many 'cartons' of custard do you eat, & is one of them the 'Brandy Custard'? Lol!

I usually have it by itself, but sometimes if I am feeling indulgent or it is a little bit dry, I will have it with custard.

Ice cream or custard. I'm not a fan of cream as an accompaniment to pudding.

I like cream with hot chocolate self saucing pudding. But I would generally go with ice cream. Unless it's apple pie, in which case I would happily have both cream AND ice cream. We don't have pudding very often though as they pretty much all have gluten in them :-(

Well ummmm actualy, it is a bit of all of the above, I have a seriously out of control sweet tooth and desert is allways my favourite part of a good meal.

What type of 'sand' is in your 'desert'?

Don't really like ice-cream with puddings.

Have Brandy Sauce on Plum Pudding, & usually Cream on others'.
Custard on pudding infrequently. But like it on pies'=Apple, apricot, mulberry. Cream sometimes.

It all depends if I've the product, but always have ice-cream & cream. Have to add to shop-list, if think ahead for it, the custard.
