A UK study of 1000 women revealed that half of those aged between 26 and 35 surveyed could not identify the vagina on a medical diagram.

Do these results worry you and what do you think could explain these findings?

Sure can. I never leave home without it.

Well that makes a lot more sense since I read the explanation that you meant on an anatomical diagram! Yes, it is a bit worrying. Women should be taught about their own anatomy in school.
PS, love the choice of picture!
LOL, thanks. I figured it was more appropriate than the obvious alternative.

A lot of people don't know where certain organs are. I don't see why it should be any more worrying for women not to know where the vagina is than it would be any other part of the body. It is good stuff to know, but unless you are a doctor or in some kind of medical profession, it isn't essential, and I don't particularly find it worrying or surprising.
It's particularly useful to know if you want to have some say in/control over your reproductive health.
Not too worried. Every woman eventually will figure it out.
I hope so.

Well that is quite disturbing news!
Good grief it's like saying they don't know where there breasts are?
That makes me wonder what is going on, after all it is all too often in shows on t.v., so how come they don't know.
That is mind blowing really.
I know! I'm assuming they think their entire downstairs anatomy is the 'vagina'.

The photo has me in stitches!!!

Yes, I can :D I can most definitely locate my vagina.

It worries me that women can't identify their body parts, yes. I think we need more information to know how serious it is and how best to address it. For starters, can they identify MALE anatomy or is it just female anatomy that has them stumped. If they can identify male anatomy and not female then we can see that misogyny is the problem, if they can't identify either then we can see that sex education is the problem.
Oh that beaver, I'm going to be giggling at that beaver all night! If my baby can't sleep because of your beaver I'm coming back here to tell you about it!

These results do worry me. The more we understand how our body works, the healthier we would be.
The fact is, a lot of people do not want to know how our body works. they just hope everything is OK!!
Never thought about it,although I'm sure I could, what an odd question.
