Anywhere where you can enjoy the celebration and the countdown to midnight (so somewhere with fireworks works well). Everyone's bound to be in a good mood this way.
With family and friends! Whether it is enjoying fireworks and the crowds, or a simple BBQ at home spending the time with Family and friends is the BEST way to ring in the New Year.
With family and friends watching the new years fireworks!
Anywhere around...SYDNEY Harbour. It's a wonderful night, & showing the best firework displays, probably in the world. 1 needs to find a good spot, on the morning of NY's Day though, because they fill up very quickly!

Anywhere with family and friends. Fireworks are optional for me. We have so many fireworks displays over Summer that it all becomes a bit Ho Hum to me (yawn). On Australia Day, we go and sit on the beach and watch them, but the rest of the year, not so much. I just like to be with good friends. We usually go out for dinner, and after that.......we play it by ear. Most years we go to a party. Last year was the first time ever we stayed home !!! I was so tired after a busy December of parties. Maybe I'm getting old. We will probably go out this year, if there is a good band playing at our local club.
Watching Sydney's Fireworks, on the couch, nice and safe and away from all the lunatics in the streets.
Well, for us 2? Watching the fireworks from our lounge, with real champagne, dips, crackers & some lovely cheese! Ah the simple life. We just can't be bothered going into the city to watch them anymore. To much trouble, to crowded, & to many unfriendly people around! 1 New Years Day morning (many years ago now), we, along with 6 friends, missed the last train after the fireworks, so we hung around Pier 1, down at The Rocks, for as long as we could, because there was nothing else to do, until the 1st train at about 5.30am left for our local station! At least I found a small camera on a seat, & elsewhere I found what I thought was a small ball, but on closer inspection I discovered it was a $10 note with 2 $2 notes rolled up into a ball. I thought I was rich finding that! (I said it was a long time ago!)
