Now that spring is here and summer is right around the corner there may well be some extreme weather conditions ahead. How well prepared is your family if flooding hits your area or fallen trees knock out power or phone lines? Can you survive for a couple of days without electricity or tap water? What precautions are you taking?

My family have a torch, spare batteries an candles handy in case of a loss of power as well as canned food. If it looked like the tap water was going to get cut off we could fill the bath tub to have water for a couple of days. It probably would be an idea to invest in a wind up radio.
We have candles and torches along with a water purifier that can apparently transform ditch water into something drinkable. Hope I never have to test it.
Need backups such as candles and matches.
I have torches for black outs but that's about it. I didn't know it was a thing...
