I am possibly taking my kids and grandkids on a cruise or to Club Med.
I haven't been on a holiday for about 3 years now and have lost interest in travelling and luckily have seen a lot of the world.
I am happy at home with my dogs, but promised them I would take them!
Cruises are crazy cheap these days aren't they.. We did one about a year and a half ago. 10 days for $600 per person! We had two cabins so definitely not cramped.
How lovely Finy!! I recall you saying how these types of holidays are all inclusive, so I am certain that you shall all have a truly memorable and wonderful break together, whichever you decide to do.
Hi Finy, How are the cruise plans coming along? R u thinking of a Perth return,
or flying somewhere to pick up 1?
Hi Finy, in another of these holiday questions, re cruusing, u said you were leaving from Sydney on Feb 24, 2018. Our cruise is a Melbourne return, same day, to south pacific islands we haven't visited before, except 4 the Isle of Pines, which we had been hoping to return too, in the near future! I saw the ship your going on, in Sydney harbour the day I was going to the Sydney Opera House with a friend to see The Merry Widow. Your going on a VERY big ship!! Because this is our 3rd princess cruise, we receive 250 minutes each of free wifi. A very 1st for us. If we'd ever had to send emails from a cruise before, we'd have to look in a port 4 an Internet cafe! I hope you & your family all have a wonderful time.
Hi Finy, How was your wonderful family NZ cruise?
We are having a few days away in July. In August, we are going to Europe. We are really looking forward to it. Can't wait !
Lovely! Where abouts are you going?
We are doing a land tour and then a European river cruise
Enjoy that 1, Lluxi, It should be wonderful. We've done many cruises, (for an Ozzie,) but never a European 1. We only like Sydney (Au) returns now, as we're getting older!
How was your wonderful river cruise, Lluxi? A friend is doing 1 in the middle of THIS year, 2018.
I would recommend it Miro. We had a lovely time, met some great people, and saw some wonderful things. Plus, I got to meet a couple of my penfriends, which was awesome. We got to see the area from their perspective. They were very nice and we saw so much.
I shall not vbe goinganywhere thuis year, but my son and his girlfriend( I think and hope that she actually may be THE ONE!!!!)will be coming up to see me here in Nth Qld, in June!! I am very much looking forward to this. I almost feel as though I am on a permanent holiday, living here in the tropics where life is so relaxed and enjoyable! I tend to be happy to just be a home body these days with my darling dogs. My health also is not really conducive for travel, so I don't mind being here at home where I am comfortable and content!
My husbands work has recently required us to move to a little rural town (1700 people) and I had to resign from my position for this move. With two kids under 4 we decided to buy a cheap caravan so we could take advantage of the situation as best we can, it may not be glamorous but we are planning as many short trips away in it as possible depending on hubbys roster and preschool. We don't know where we are going to go, but we know it will be somewhere there is a beach
We go for a weeks holiday to Melbourne 4/5 times a year, & we're going to Bali for a nephew's wedding in August, & planning 3/4 days in Singapore, afterwards. Also there's a south pacific cruise, Sydney return, next February 2018 we're hoping to go on, which I know is NOT 2017! It's 14 days & it's going to Islands we haven't been to before, except for Isle of Pines, which we loved last time, with it's beautiful soft sand, like baby powder! (I don't think baby powder is recommended for babies anymore, or is that only the J&J 1?) Anyway, I'm way off the topic here, again!
PS: In Jan '18, I'm hoping we'll be doing a 16n Melbourne return cruise to NZ, as well as the Feb'18 cruise, Sydney return cruise.
We're now booked on a 4 night cruise to Brisbane in early Dec, because it was a really cheap deal. (We have called in there on 2 cruises around the whole of Australia.) I love visiting the QAG, & once we flew to Q'ld for the day, just to see an art exhibition!
It's now Jan 2018...My husband thought he'd booked the little Sydney return to Brisbane cruise, but when he checked his bank statement, it wasn't on there. Next we are not going to bother doing the NZ cruise this month as we've been on 2 cruises to NZ before. Lastly, we are now booked on a Melbourne return, (& it's paid for) for the 14 night south pacific Feb-March 2018, so we can stay with family before & after the cruise. I'd also like us to return to Bali again next year. Apart from that, we'll only be going back & forth to Melbourne of 7-10 days at a time.
