Are you looking forward to cooler weather, and the beginning of winter?

Or if you live on the other side of the world, are you looking forward to hotter weather?

I do not mind hot weather in Perth as long as it is not humid.

I therefore am not looking forward to cooler weather as, as I get older, I seem to feel the cold more and cannot get warm unless I go to bed. The warm air conditioning heats beautifully but I find it tends to put me to sleep.

So I do not look forward to cooler weather, and therefore winter.

I am guessing that ,as I did when living in Victoria, you end up wearing multiple layers of clothing in Winter!!! And peeling them off to have a shower is a nightmare!!! I think that getting out of the shower is one of the things I hate most about cold weather! That, and the pain many of us will illness suffer with!! I must admit that I could never live in a proper winter again,no matter how much I love it's natural beauty!!

I am looking forward very much seeing the trees change colour.
Where I am, is a set of tree's in a park.

When it rains something very strange happens, the tree trunks change colours, and it becomes mesmerizing!!
Can't wait till it happens.
Oooh. That sounds wonderfully magical :-)

My pic is just what happens, and it is amazing :)

That glorious 'change of the seasons' is what I think I miss most about living in Victoria!! So utterly beautiful and so magical in every sense!
by Jules
Jonaj, what beautiful colourings! Nature can produce just THE best!
What type of Gum Tree is it? Cheers!
by donjo
Yes it can :)

Yes, yes, yes & yes! Dry heat is fine but the awful humidity - ugh! Autumn is here, my fave time of the year :))
Noooooooooooooo! Hate the cold. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I do not like hot and humid. It makes me very uncomfortable. I like cooler days but not cold

My bones don't like the cold. I would sooner be suffering in the heat . . . even my air con gets too cold for me and I have to turn it up. "They" say 24 degrees . . . I would freeze.

meeee toooooooo :(

Up here ,we have been advised to set the a.c. at 25 for the most efficient power usage! Even this gets so chilly for me that I turn it off for half an hour after ,almost feeling like an icy-pole for an hour!!! Ha ha ha ha!!! Is there NO pleasing us?!!!
by Jules
No Jules, I fear not. Silly oojahs. LOL

My husband and I went to an ice hockey game last night. My feet were frozen, and my ankles hurt. :-| Cold feet is not something I'm looking forward to with the onset of the cooler weather.
by Vee
Oh! Vee, were you wearing comfy, warm boots?

by donjo
No, not at all. I could almost cry that winter will soon be with us. I just love the weather the way it is. The thought of having cooler weather for the next few months is not nice at all.
Yeah, I like winter. The summers get so hot and humid here, and in winter I can get stuff done during the day without turning into a puddle of sweat. I also get to wear my winter clothes (I like layers, and scarves) and boots.
I like to be able too wearing scarves, and doing stuff with them...I must have about 25 by now :)

Winter in the tropics(apart from the extremely weird hot season we had last year!!!)is so perfectly like a picture postcard, and I guess that is why so many people come up from the cold winters to the south of here! I LOVE the 'cooler' but not cold weather which we usually experience here for most of the year.I grew up in Victoria where the weather is so bitterly chilly when the wind comes in from the Antarctic, even in summer, that I was always suffering with pain, and other symptoms of my serious illness. I came up north 35 years ago,and have never looked back as far as the cold winters are concerned! I don't enjoy the extreme humidity which we have been having in this very much hotter than usual summer, but I have very effective air conditioning which is so good that I cannot use it any colder than 25 and even then I have to turn it off for half an hour after every hour it is on!!! Bizarre, but true!!! I have solar power now which has cut my costs down by so much more than I could have expected,so I don't mind using the air con so much during the day(I cannot sleep in it!) to keep me well.I never need it in the cooler months at all up here, and I never need heating either!Oh Yes please! come on 'winter'!!!
yes and no
I spent 8 days in Perth last week and hated the weather. Too much like Sydney's heat except one day we had 98% humidity and at 7 o'clock in the morning the perspiration was already running through my head and down my neck, even with having the fan on all night and the aircon in the loungeroom of the apartment we were staying in. It was so bad the grandkids slept in the lounge because the fan was only circulating hot air. So my answer is I LOVE the cooler months and am glad we had 2 cooler nights in Sydney already.
I love the cooler weather of autumn. I love being able to sleep.
I have not appreciated this summer and looked forward to autumn, although the first month of autumn has almost gone and we are only just experiencing cooler days in Melbourne.
Yes, I like the winter.
And I like the fact that I get SO much work done in the colder weather. I love reading inside on freezing cold days and making soups and stews and roasts and warm puddings and sleeping in and hearing cars outside starting up to take families to work and to school and thinking about how lucky I am to snuggle down and sleep as long as I like.

No. Don't like the cold, having to sleep with multiple layers of bedclothes, & getting all sweaty.

Only positive for me is I can live in my beautiful winter slack suits to go out in, & my jeans, with boots, scarves, & warm hats! I really love THAT part of Winter!
I don't like wearing tonnes of clothes, but I am looking forward to the cooler weather...didn't think I'd be saying that.

This is the beginning of my favourite time of year. Going for walks without breaking into a sweat, warm days and cool nights which you can sleep through, crumpets making a reappearance on supermarket shelves, leaves changing colour (great for photo opportunities), piping hot soup, porridge in the mornings, snuggling under a woolly blanket, digging out my ugg boots again. Oh yes - it's a good time of year!

I am so looking forward to winter after this horrendously humid summer here in Perth. I was living in Melbourne for the last few years and so miss the cooler weather there.
Not really, I feel the cold (I normally have to use a blanket if im sleeping with the fan on in 40degree heat. With the cooler weather also comes sharter days and less time to get things done
I prefer cooler weather. It doesn't get too cold here (outskirts of Adelaide SA). I don't have health conditions that are upset by cold weather. My house is well insulated and cosy. I can layer up my clothes when I go out. I am always happy to say goodbye to summer. Real autumn weather is a joy and I love autumn leaves.
Absolutely YES!
No, I never look forward to winter. It takes so much longer to get dressed in the mornings, when I'm going out! What with the under layers & the over layers! At least Autumn this year, 2018, seemed like summer, so that was very nice!
