NO, NO, AND NO AGAIN
I hate the cold and already shivering even though they say it was 25° outside.
As I age, I hate the cold more and more and love that hot weather which did not last long this year.
Bring back summer, get rid of winter, I say with a vengeance!
Yes, yes, yes, and yes again. I loathe the heat and humidity and am enjoying the start of the cooler weather now. You can always get warmer but not so easy trying to stay cool. I've only just started sleeping with a sheet over me.
Absolutely not !!! Please can it stay !!! The thought of winter and cooler weather gives me chills up and down my spine. I never seem to be able to get warm enough !! Hopefully winter will be a warm one this year. I would rather a nice even temperature every day . Not being able to go out because it is too cold or too wet is annoying.
Here in Townsville we are still getting to 30 and 31 through the day, but blissfully, the evernings, nights and early mornings are MUCH more pleasant now with a delicious 21 instead of 28!!!
This is what we wait so long through summer for: the ghastly humidity has disappeared, sleeping is so much easier and generally life is just gloriously comfortable now! So YES!!! Despite it still being warm by any standards, I am thrilled to bits that the comfort levels have kicked in again after our worst summer on record!!
It's not a sticky heat though, AJ, although I'm only been up there 4 times, & usually in the month of May. From what I'm seen on the weather reports, it rains EVERY say in Summer. We have a friend who has lived in Darwin, for as long as I can remember, & she hates the summers, because of the heat, not because of the rain. (Perhaps it IS a sticky, unpleasant heat in summer!)
Yes, oh yes! I feel sorry for people who suffer in cold weather but I love South Australian mid autumn (March is still hot) and winter weather. At the moment the weather is wonderful with days ranging from 18C up to high 20s. I enjoy this weather. I also love winter and am happy to put on an extra layer or two to keep warm.
When it is in the 30s and especially high 30s and above I feel worn out. The garden suffers too. I am always happy to wave goodbye to summer.
Absolutely. I love Autumn and I think it is the most beautiful time of the year (or used to be). Lovely sunny days, cool enough to do a good days work. Lovely cold nights ensuring a good sleep. Crisp mornings. Great food and warming recipes to try out. Yes I always look forward to the end of summer and heat waves. I even enjoy the beach in autumn. So much more energy.
