Are you handy or do you have to get someone else to fix things?

Definitely not very handy.

Bought two dog beds yesterday and have to pull down the legs and could not do it so I have to phone someone and I know it is simple but I have always had someone to call on to do this sort of thing, and now that I do not, I am not good at fixing things.

Now have to cook for someone as a bribe!

I do about 50%.
The rest is left till one of my sons comes to help....or yes get someone in if it is in need very quickly.
I do hate to ask my boys because they are very busy.
Over the years I have had to teach myself, 'how' to use a saw-drill-high pressure hose and paint to a good standard.
I also have used Youtube to teach me a lot.

If you watch it over and over, then do one step at a time, you can get there.
I also know how to make a small retaining wall with bricks and cement...That is not easy, but we got there in the end.

Well I am very independent, have had to be for many years and...quite like it this way I find. I can therefore do basic repairs ie changing a washer, light bulb, fusewire, drill a hole etc but not anything very involved or now where I have to lift anything as my back is stuffed (prob as a result of doing so much myself over the years ie carrying in things, moving things around etc.

I'm quite handy. I take on most things by myself. I would seek assistance whenever I don't have the tools or if the tasks is much more technical than I have time for or money if the situation got worst.

I used to do many little things myself,but now that my arthritis is so bad,I ask my very tolerant and kind friends to help e if I need them! I am a huge believer in Karma. I used to always be helping others before I became too ill to work.Now I find that so many people are keen to help ME and I accept their assistance most graciously and gratefully.

I'm not handy and neither is my husband. We both pursued professional occupations and we know our limitations. We hire tradesmen when we need them.

Usually I'll have a go myself. I like the challenge. However there are some things I won't touch and as in a rental property I get a professional in.

NO, I'm defiantly not a handy person, so I ALWAYS have to ask my husband to do it for me.
I'm also extremely lazy!
