Dragon fruit
I couldn't find an appropriate picture. So here's a dragon fruit! Image courtesy of Wikimedia Commons.

Do you often find yourself distracted by something while you are in the middle of a task?

I can't afford to be.
Could be life or death.
Well now that would depend enormously on the task in hand and how much (or little!) I want to do it! If it's something I want to do and am enjoying then no, I don't get distracted though I never get so absorbed in anything that I cut the rest of the world off. Both my husband and son do that and I envy them the ability to be so single-minded. Though it can be very frustrating when I am two foot away form them, trying to get their attention and I might as well be on the moon for all they notice!
Look! A monkey with a shiny thing!

No, I'm good at focusing on different things for the most part. Except when I'm working really hard on a tricky article and the kids all need me. Then I get distracted by the frustration.
Only when I am trying to do too many things at once as I'll change from one t the other. Usually I would say I'm pretty focused. Thanks for the dragon fruit image! Perhaps that should be a question....have you ever tried dragon fruit?
LOL great idea for another question as I guess there's probably a lot of people who haven't tried it!

I thought of this question a few months ago...I wrote it down and then got distracted LOL I am very easily distracted - especially by the children! I'm not as easily distracted if I have someone responsible watching the kids, but I still flit from one task to another - hang half a load of washing and notice the garden needs some water then get an idea for an article or question, then coffee and then it's 6pm and the washing is still sitting in the basket beside the clothes line.
Yes. I find that when I'm cleaning the house, I never finish one thing at a time. I get distracted and do things in bits and bobs.

Yes. I'm easily distracted. I really need to work on this.
Yes, I think we all do to some extent. I blame it on age. Or perhaps it is just that the more prominent items always rise to the top ?
Yes if I am using the computer recreationally. I may be in the middle of reading mail, come over here to answer a question. See a picture of a dragon fruit and remember I wanted to know how to grow one....you get it.
If I am doing housework I am- I will have five jobs on the go at once. I find it more interesting to be able to switch from one thing to the other.
I can focus when necessary.
No not really. There was a couple of times. Did someone say a monkey with a shiny thing. Um what was the question again 😆😆
