No. The situation in Sydney is sad and shocking, but is it really any different to the events of Port Arthur or Belanglo or Truro or others where innocent people were killed. Unfortunately in all of those cases, a disturbed person caused damage and grief to many families and others. I am not convinced that terrorism is the cause - perhaps easy access to guns (refer shootings in America that seem to occur every month), or perhaps it is our legal system being soft ?
I am always concerned about my country. There really isn't a great sense of security. There have always been negative elements within, that have always sought to shape the society to match the condition of their warped minds. These people are usually driven by ignorance, misinformation or just selfishness. Some of the best measures we can take is to be resolute in imparting good principles our youngsters. Embracing development while still holding on to traditional values that will make any nation great. Our voices should be louder than those of any extremist.
