Are you an impulse buyer or spendthrift?

Or do you not part with your money easily?

I am definitely a spendthrift and an impulse buyer.

I spend money easily and buy on impulse and sometimes feel I cannot help myself.
I do not go to shops so often anymore however as I cannot walk as far or as long as I used to, so a lot of my shopping is done online. I also find it far cheaper to shop online as I spend about half what I do when I physically go into a shop and see and feel the items!

I try not to spend what I really don't have.

Shopping is part of everyday life, for food-clothes-petrol-whatever.
We have become very good at doing it!

I use to spend, and then later saw how it was a total waste of my time-money.
I just wish 20 years ago....I was more sensible.Spending money is also a way to cover up some kind of 'need' we have in our lives.

I am not crazy spendthrift, but I do consider if I need to open my purse.
How many pairs of shoes can one have? how many clothes? How many bits of jewellry?

It goes on and on and on....I'm glad I am over it big time.
I am a very thrifty shopper and rarely waste money at all!! My parents taught me to budget from a VERY early age,and this has served me extremely well throughout my entire life! I do buy myself lovely treasures, but always when I can afford them and when they are on special!!
It is very important to spoil ourselves now and then with something which makes our hearts sing!!
I tend to think hard before spending my money. BUT when I do I'm happy to spend more money for quality or for a good experience. For example: I'm happy to spend $35.00 to take my daughter out for a "fancy" breakfast rather than spend $15.00 on MacDonalds.
I used to be an impulse buyer and I used to shop ALOT! Now that I am much more content in my life I don't have the need to go shopping all that often and have definitely become better with my money.

Impulse buying
I am very frugal person. I have made poor financial choices in the past and have had situations come up that have cleaned me out. Because of this I am very cautious about how I spend money.

I have to be honest & admit to being an impulsive spendthrift.

I think hard before I buy. I judge whether I really NEED it. I buy my clothes online and they always fit really well, so I don't need to buy at shopping centres. I don't mind buying things from markets as they are usually 'one offs' that you can't buy anywhere else. Same goes for antiques
I think, like most women, I can be a spendthrift and a bit of an impulse buyer. Generally speaking though, I am an avid bargain hunter and have picked up quite few in my time. My favourite shopping places are op shops and antique malls. I am fortunate to have a really good op shop near where I live, which is located in Kenmore, Brisbane. The area is a fairly affluent area and the quality of the goods in that particular op shop is pretty high.
I used to go horse-back riding at Kenmore Riding School!
So know the area well, indeed! Cheers!

Do enjoy 'retail therapy' now, & again.
But on restricted income, can't 'splash out' like I could when working! Sad!
No I don't buy much, except for food. The only other things I like to buy, is another cotton floral dress or putting money towards our next cruise.
I do enjoy going through the op-shops though, looking for wide plastic bracelets in colours to match my all of my dresses!
