Face focussing on the eyes

Are you a private person? Are there things about yourself you don't tell anyone or only tell very close friends? Were you brought up to keep information about income and bills to yourself? What sorts of things did your family not talk about to others or were they very open?

I'm open to a point, with even family.
But there's a lot I keep to myself.
Often my son will say ''Gee Mum I had no idea? you never told me that''!
In life you never show your whole deck of cards...or your hand.
'Why' would you..My parents didn't tell me all that much,so what has happened I do the same.
I like being a private person..
There isn't anyone who knows all my secrets.
Yes - I like quiet time and time to myself.
I have close friends that I tell everything to, but I tend to be guarded with stuff outside of my close friends.
I'm a private person in that I keep to myself, and don't tell others how I'm feeling, or what I've been up to. I'm not really all that fussed about keeping the price of things secret though. Everyone has to pay for things. I don't think talking about money and bills is really frowned upon like it used to be.
I like to keep some things to myself, but, with people I trust, I tend to share more.

No, I am quite the opposite -I do not understand private people.

I am blunt and do not hide many things -I would not deliberately hurt someone, however yes, I was brought up to keep money things to myself and can see no reason for this either.

I do not think my family were very open when I was at home, and I do tell things to close friends.

I'm open to an extent. I have to be if I need to win the trust of my clients.
Yes & yes.
Yes & yes.

Am very guarded when meeting 'new' people.
Still am careful with 'friends'. Have been very hurt by so-called 'friends', a few times of late.

Prefer to be mindful, at all times

As the late Art Linklater used to say, 'People are Funny'!
I agree with you.
There is in my mind no need for anyone to know everything about yourself....that is a dangerous tool...to have.

Yes, jonaj, you wouldn't believe the way 3 'supposed' friends have treated me in the last few years'. Upshot was they only wanted to be friends to 'use' me! If When I became 'unuseful' to them, they dropped me like a 'hot potato' in very nasty ways! So I'm more 'circumspect' & 'cynical' towards 'new' people now.
Thank you & cheers!

I would say I am a private person. I like my privacy and respect others privacy. But on Answer Angels - well that's another story! :-)
I am a fairly private person as that is the way I was brought up. However I am a straightforward person and what you see is what you get with me.
