Are the sweets you loved as a kid still around?

When I was younger my favourite sweets were Wham bars (pictured), and I recently discovered them in a newly-opened sweet shop near my home. As I unwrapped the bar and saw my favourite sweet it was like going back to the 90's. So I ask, are your favourite sweets still around?

Your talking 1950's for me!
Only 2-3 kind are still around, and you have to get them at special shops.

Sherbet filled Flying Saucers are one. They are still around.LOVE them!
We were on holidays last week and went into a lollie shop with lots and lots of jars of various lollies. One that came to mind as a child was "Cobbers". Yes they had them, but no, they didn't do it for me anymore. The originals had a square of hard caramel covered in chocolate and they had an uneven top as if there were mild ridges on it. In the ones I had the caramel was soft and the top was smooth chocolate. Unfortunately, not the same.
Yes, Fifi, loved the 'original' Cobbers! Tooth breaking material! Lol!

Yes, but they're available back in my hometown - not here unfortunately :(
My favourite was the Picnic bar, which I hadn't seen in at least 20 years, then earlier this year I noticed one in a shop. It brought back old memories and of course I bought one. Don't generally eat chocolate bars these days, so it was a nice treat. Mars and Snickers were around in my childhood, but they never left.
Oh, the ones that aren't around anymore and probably never will come back are the chocolate cigarettes! Of course, they could be seen to glorify smoking, so they're out, but when I was a kid they were one of the cheaper things I could afford to buy down at the candy shop because I could just get one for 5 cents, I never knew if it was ok to eat the paper or not, but sometimes I did. Never became a smoker, but we used to pretend we were smoking when we were playing with them, so I can see how that could lead to a bad habit later in life.
Sarah you are absolutely hilarious! Chocolate cigarettes were around during my childhood too - about 15 years ago. The paper was always a dubious one, but my sisters and I used to eat it sometimes too! Brilliant!
Some of them. Bertie Beetles, Whizz Fizz, Sherbies, Zappos... :)
Jennifer you can still get 'sherbies' on ebay and some shops...and wizz fizz I think too!

Sadly, many are gone. Cobbers, Big Charlie Bubble Gum, Toscas, Peanut Toffee Crunch, Polly Waffles and so many others I simply forget. Others are hard to find, or recently died off - Milkos and Sherbies. When I was a kid, we had a shop next to a milk bar. Heaven.
The sugary coated ears and clouds were among my favourite sweets, and they can still be purchased in Woolworths. Ghost drops and Warheads too. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

I loved Chokitos, but they're too sweet now, so I'm not sure if they're around or not. I still love Wagon Wheels tho...
Many of them are still around, but unfortunately since being diagnosed Coeliac I can't eat lots of them. :(
The main ones' that have disappeared which I loved are Dark Chocolate Fry's Bars. .
They originally came as a multi-flavoured bar, with Pineapple, Peppermint & Strawberry. .
Then the total Orange flavoured has just been discontinued.

Loved 'Bar o' Nuts' block chocolate. 'Checkmate' White & Dark chocolate blocks. 'Royals' chocolates in 'cigarette' type pack.

I'm sure there're others', but I just can't think of them at the moment.
Oh! Just remembered another one .....'Mastercraft's(?) Peanut Bar.

You can still get Fry's chocolate bars with the various flavours and the mint flavoured one in some specialist chocolate shops here in Australia. Of course, you can always source them from the UK as well.

Yes, 'Candy Time', at local Westfield, still stocks Peppermint, but no longer Orange.
There's a NZ 'Lolly' shop in the City, I used to frequent when working, years' ago!
It's where I fell 'in love' with 'Chocolate Fish'! Lol!

Some are still around but now at the prices they were!
