I have recommenced using egg white as a natural alternative to face wash.

Would you consider using egg whites instead of store-bought facial cleansers? Why or why not?

Absolutely! It's all natural :D

I actually use either just water, or an oat sock. I fill an odd sock with oats and use that as soap. Much nicer, better for the planet, better for my wallet, better for my skin, all round better. If you haven't tried an oat sock facewash you really much! It's cheaper than an egg too.
Good idea. I imagine it could be used as a general body soap as well, yes?

Um . . . don't look up oat sock on Google. You'll get a shock. I did. I'm sitting in a corner rocking now. Danged urban dictionary :(

Rice Paper, now I'm curious. I'm sorry you saw whatever it was. I hate discoveries like that.

I swear I sometimes I feel like I have been sheltered under a rock. Then on the other hand . . . well, there is just too much erky perky stuff in the world to know it all, which is a great mercy. Please don't look it up - it involved a traffic cone.

I've used oats, but what is egg white supposed to do? Not having a go, just curious. I have a lot of eggs to use up.
The proteins in the egg are supposed to nourish the skin while smoothing and tightening at the same time. ;-)

Cool. Worth a try.
Yes ! Egg whites really give a nice tight feel to your skin and it looks so much cleaner :) Don't forget to moisturize later, as it may dry your skin a bit.
Maybe. However at the moment I just use water.
I would try it.
How long do you leave it on, and how do you wash it off (warm-or-cold water)?
I usually apply the whites to my face with a brush, wait for it to dry then apply another layer and wait about 15-20 minutes. Wash off with cold water lest you should cook the egg, lol. ;-)

You can add a dash of lemon to the wash as this is supposed to eliminate blackheads, and do moisturise with something like coconut oil afterwards if you find your skin is dry.

Thank You Vee! will be doing it! :)

Right Vee, one old chook, one egg white, abracadabra . . .spring chicken!

My wife saves them and freezes them down to be used later as meringue topping for Lemon and meringue Pies.
