Yes, I would tell them. There's nothing worse than looking in the mirror late in the afternoon to discover a piece of something you ate for lunch stuck to your teeth! I would want to know.
I would tell them because I would want them to tell me. What's there to be embarrassed about? We all eat, don't we? It's just a stroke of luck if we do or don't get something stuck in our teeth.
I'd tell them in a subtle way, as I'd absolutely want someone to tell me. It's not a social faux pas to get food in your teeth, it's something that could happen to anyone, so I don't see the issue in telling someone.
