The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, involves dumping a bucket of ice water on someone's head to promote awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encourage donations to research.

The person who does the challenge, nominates someone else to do the challenge within the next 24 hours or forfeit by way of a charitable financial donation.

I have no one to nominate, so it would seem pretty pointless.
No I wouldn't! Have donated money as I think it's a great cause to support but that's it. It has been a very clever marketing move but I am ssooooo over seeing everyone's videos now!
No, I would more than likely go into shock!
Absolutely not under any circumstances period. No way in hell. I like warm water. There are better ways to raise money if you ask me, what's wrong with a cake stall!?
I don't think so. And hopefully my friends know me well enough not to nominate me!

I think there's a big place for awareness raising, but I do wonder how much the people doing the challenge individually know about ALS. Also, I donate to charities on regular monthly donations, which makes it easier for them to fund and maintain larger scale programs. Ideally I think this is better than a one off donation.
Nope. I prefer to simply donate money to causes I am passionate about...I know very little about ALS so it wouldn't be something to catch my interest.
No I wouldn't. I still don't see the sense in doing this sort of thing.
I didn't realise this whole challenge was for charity. Personally, I wouldn't do it, but I would gladly donate if asked.
