No, but I am happy to donate to the cause. I think shaving your head is a bit extreme, and it wouldn't be a pretty sight !! One of my daughter's friends did, when she was about 14 or 15, but apart from that, I haven't known anyone else brave enough to do it, especially in this cold weather !!! Brrr!!!
Before that she had month's of chemo, and it meant she lost her hair...At one stage I was just about to have all my hair gone, to show I care.
Glad I didn't because she bought a wonderful wig, and looked amazing :)
There is no way I could have done the same, because the wig was expensive.
Maybe I would wear a scare...but then!!
People would think I too had cancer.
For me at 61 it would have been also very hard to walk around with a shaved head.
Plus: My son's would have been upset, to see I did it. (long story).
My take on it is this, if your hair grows VERY FAST! maybe.
But I would rather give the money, to be totally Honest.
It's great if teenagers do it, but once past a certain age...I think it is best to maybe give the money, because you never know how children will react...Family...friends...and really yourself!
One may feel quite sad after doing it!
So I can say, it's not something to just do.
It needs to be taken seriously, on the effect it will have till the hair grows back and that could be many many months, just to a short length?
