I probably do even though I walk every morning for a few kms.
Three days a week I work in the afternoons but the rest of the time I am usually sitting due to an accident years ago, so I probably DO lead a sedentary life, despite doing exercise once a day.
I suppose it depends on the definition of sedentary!
Unfortunately ,since having to finish working in 2008,due to severe arthritic and neuropathic illness suffered since my teens,I have been unable to do all the things I enjoyed so much when I was reasonably well.I used to walk EVERY where, including to and from work, and it is THIS particular exercise which I miss most of all. I now need a cane to help me wherever walking is concerned. I definitely DO make myself move as much and as often as possible, even if it is only in my garden, but my lifestyle is what I reluctantly do admit to being rather sedentary.
I have a very sensible and positive attitude to life...I simply take each day as it comes and do what I find I am able to at any given time. I always find ways to smile, even if it is by making fun of my own situation. A sense of humour is EVERYthing, and makes life so much more enjoyable! Every day I wake up is a good day,and thus I can easily find a smile!!
Not really. I do a fair bit of walking through the day, usually 6-10 kms, and keep myself busy during the day. Evenings are the time when I "chill out" and that is when I am more sedentary - reading, doing wordsearches, computer, knitting, listening to music, watching tv etc.
My job required sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours' a day! Only got up to have breaks!
Now, go walking mucho poss, which I do enjoy, as have a small Park opposite me! No excuse not to!
Go for a swim, & am now checking out social Tennis. Still go horse-riding, love it, when can afford it!
Am trying to 'make-up' for 45 years' of enforced work sitting! But as much younger in those days did above Sports, plus played Squash weekly.
Then I crash, watch VHS tapes of liked TV programmes, & read!
