A lot of vital research and teaching is carried out with bodies donated after death.

I believe one also receives money(it go's to the family).
I wouldn't do it, I fully understand 'why' some do, and respect that a great deal.
Plus my boys would not allow me to do it, no matter what.

It is VERY commendable for those who choose to leave their body to medical science.
This picture is of Doctors lighting candles, for all of the people who have left their bodies to medical science.

I don’t think I will be comfortable doing that but I want to donate every organ of mine that could be donated when I die. The rest can be cremated.

I have heard stories of medical students using intestines from bodies they were dissecting as skipping ropes.... so that puts me off donating my body unless I could specify that it was to be used for research purposes not teaching. I would rather suitable organs were harvested and transplanted but that's not always possible so it would be good to have a back-up option where my body could do some good even after my death.
It is a necessary venture that someone has to do. However, I wouldn't do it.
I don't think so, though I do think it could lead to positive things. I would rather donate my organs to those awaiting organ transplants.

No I would not leave my body to medical science but my husband and I are both on the donor organ register.
No I wouldnt.
I have recently been diognosed with Lung Cancer and the doctors say that with treatment I may get three or four years.
I have been thinkibg of this question, but at 74, would they still want mybody?
Yes I would if I thought it would help anything or anyone.
