I did get one while on a working holiday. But that was while I was living somewhere for a few months. I wouldn't do it while travelling with no fixed address because keeping a tattoo clean while on the move would be a hassle.
I wouldn't get a tramp stamp haha - but I would definitely get a tattoo whilst on holiday if I know who to go to (if there's a salon or an artist who is well known in the place) and if I have the money for it. I've got 4 so far but believe that I'm going to end up like one of those people who goes away for a while and comes back with a full-blown sleeve! :)
Unlikely, as I like to research carefully and have complete trust in anyone doing anything permanent to my body! Also I have an award winning tattoo salon about 300 yards from my house, so any tattoos I want can be done there. Plus there never seems to be enough time on holiday to do all the touristy/ holiday things we want to do, without trying to squeeze in a tatt as well!
I wouldn't get a tattoo at all. They are not my cup of tea. I saw a documentary, or perhaps it was a news report, not so long ago about young people getting tattoos while they are on hoiday and in many cases somewhat under the weather. Many were left with tattoos that they regretted and in some cases that were very inappropriate.
The laser treatment to remove them seems so lengthy and I imagine quite painful. I would caution anybody to think carefully before getting a tattoo and suggest that a holiday doesn't allow the right amount of time for a considered decision.
No way! Not on a whim anyway, I'd spend eons researching and considering before getting a tattoo and I'd never go to a place to get one done without being sure of the artist having a high quality of work
