I am open minded about most things, and so find I am mostly fine when in close proximity to people who are very different to me. I do, however, like to surround myself with people who share similar values and morals to me as this helps to affirm my sense of identity and belonging.
I think of myself as very open minded but occasionally I do find myself brought up short by an uncomfortable feeling that on closer examination comes from some deep conditioning from my background. I try to read widely and communicate with all sorts of different people to combat this, and to debate new ideas as I think it is important to be as receptive and open as possible.
To Art absolutely, I have a Very wide mind to concept.
To Morals NO.
To People who are very different to me yes.
Because I am 60 yrs old, I have seen a fair bit
and a lot just turns around to bite people again.
I believe that there is a set pattern for a lot in life,
and when it is changed radically, life can turn nasty.
So my open mind has been trained to know what works
