I wish I could be as patient as my husband, and I am working on it. I wish I could be as good with children as my best friend is, and it's not quite working as well as I would like it to.

What are some qualities you admire in your partner or best friend?

My husband is my best friend. He's the most loving and understanding person I've ever met. The best thing is he doesn't judge me.
My husband has an enviable ability to rationalise anything that comes his way so that he is rarely stressed, and just doesn't worry about the small things (I don't think he worries about the big things either). He absolutely takes on board the notion that if he can't fix it, then he won't worry about it either. He rarely gets mad, and has a great inner calm. I twanged his car once (although it wasn't really my fault), when I told him he didn't get cross or mad, he just cared that I was ok. I wish I were as calm as him.
His ability to get a job done really fast is fantastic. Wish I had that determination sometimes.
He is smart and hard working. Great at giving compliments too :)
My Youngest son.

He is always positive, always happy and I wish I was like that.
My best friend is very realistic and always manages to bring me back down to Earth, as I tend to go off with the fairies sometimes.

My husband is very inquisitive, determined to get things done when he sets his mind to them and notices 'the little things' that simply fly over my head.

My friend and I agree on most things but I respect her right to have her own opinion and she doesn't try to change me to think the way she does or have a hissy fit because I have disagreed with her.
My late husband's best qualities were his kindness and his fantastic and mischievous sense of humour. He had many other good qualities but those two really stood out and I miss them every day.
Ability to give and not expect in return.
