Do you prefer travelling by bus or coach rather than driving your own car? Or do you drive your car for all road journeys?

It depends. If it's very long, I would buy a plane ticket, or travel by train. That might be faster than driving myself. While driving your own car gives you the benefit of managing the journey yourself, including where to rest, which way you want to go, etc., it also means there is always someone awake all the time to drive. This sucks when it comes to long distance. Not to mention if you don't know the way well and have to look at a map all along.
I think for long drives, then a coach is a great idea.
Cost for petrol too can be expensive. What if your car has problems?
There is a lot to think about. If going alone, that may not be such a good idea.
If I had even a new car, as a woman I would not ever travel a long distance alone.

I prefer driving my car for all road journeys. It is more fun - got control of when you want to stop and where! ;)
Bus coaches are my preferred choice for longer road journeys.
I don't drive, so it would be a be for me. Although preferably I would rather take the train for a long journey.
I would take my car.
I prefer that someone else is responsible for driving the car so that I can enjoy the scenery or take a nap. I like long drives.
Our only long drive would be from Sydney to Melbourne to visit our daughters/grand-daughters down there. We only drive down if we have a lot of their stuff to take down for them that they left behind when they moved out. I donít drive, we so have to stay a night somewhere on the way, so most times we fly down there, about 4 times a year.
I don't drive long distances anymore, just have no interest in doing so!

I absolutely adore travelling by Coach!
Have done many trips', here, & overseas!

The longest was a 25 day trip of the 'National Parks of Western America, & Canada', which was superb, in every way.

The shortest, just a Day trip each, to Wave Rock, & the Pinnacles, West Australia, & Undara Lava Tubes, & Chillagoe Caves, Qld.
All excellent experiences'!

Also love train travel, but my all-time fave is FLYING!
It gets you to destination so much faster!
More time there, then! Yay!
