I love Carol of the bells, it's just magical.
I don't know that one, I shall have to look for it on YouTube now!

''O Holy Night'' is my 1st choice.

I love also ''Carol of The Bells''.
I get goose bumps when I hear a really good singer performing O Holy Night, it is special!
Me too!! I start to cry when it says ''fall on your knees''.
wow! :)

I have two jingle bells and silent night.
Lol Jingle Bells is one of my son's favourites and we've been singing it since September, so I'm a bit over it now! It's a good tune for making up lots of different words to :)
Silent night. It makes me cry and I have no idea why!?
Have you heard the original version, in German? That's even lovelier than the English version :)
I sing Silent Night to Savile as a lullaby in Advent. I love it too!
I agree with you Verity - I was taught this carol in German when I was at school and it is really lovely.

I love singing Christmas carols and actually find it really hard to choose just one as a favourite but I think, on balance, We Three Kings wins. I just love the verse "Myrrh is mine: it's bitter perfume
Breaths a life of gathering gloom.
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding dying,
Sealed in the stone-cold tomb."
The words fit the music perfectly and give me the chills every time I sing or hear it.
"Holy Night" definitely would be my top choice, or "Away in a Manger."
Away in a Manger takes me straight back to being four years old and in my Sunday School Nativity play, very evocative :)
I love O Holy Night.
I love God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman - It reminds me of all the hospitality and friendliness of Christmas - sort of 1 carol for the holiness of Christmas and 1 for the cheerfulness of the Season
With local shopping centres' endlessly playing carols over PA, get REALLY sick of them!
It must drive the workers' there insane!
From childhood I loved the Christmas carol "In the bleak midwinter". At the time I wasn't aware who wrote this carol (Christina Rossetti) but found out in adulthood.

The funny thing is she has been my favourite poet since I read her "Goblin Market" as a child, but I was totally unaware she had also written my favourite carol.
