For a Yoga retreat, why not go to the birthplace of Yoga, India? If you prefer to be right next to the ocean then Kerala or Goa is the place for you. Likewise Rishikesh gives a special experience at the foot of Himalayas. The sheer tranquility of these places is mesmerizing. You can find many Yoga packages at a click on the web. In combination you can experience first hand principles of Ayurveda, the ancient science of healing of Hinduism.
1. Prema Shanti at Cape Tribulation - excellent yoga experience. Noble silence is only maintained in the morning.
2. Although meditation and strict noble silence - have received some much from doing Vipassana three times.
Thanks for the suggestion Justine. I've been to Cape Tribulation for a holiday but didn't realise that it was possible to do yoga retreats there as well. I'll definitely have to check it out as it's one of my favourite places in Australia.
There are many amazing yoga retreats around Ubud in Bali - you can't go wrong with any of these, and they're relatively inexpensive. Check www.balispirit.com for a wide range of choices to suit any level of yoga practitioner/length of stay etc.
