When you have a roast (including chicken), who carves the meat?

Do you carve it with an electric knife?

I rarely eat red meat so no longer have a roast.
Though now I feel like some rare roast beef!

As I am now on my own it would be myself anyway who would carve it though sometimes one of my children would have done it or if with partner, he may have!

I rarely make roast chicken, even though I now eat chicken and I am not very good at carving meat anyway.

We used to have an electric knife that did roasts beautifully but that was in another era!

Jonaj and Finy know . . . LOL. I have never been very happy with an electric knife and chickens usually end up pulled to bits (poor things) with dogs desperate for any "fallout".

I haven't cooked roast for years & years, as our oven doesn't work.

We have roasts quite a lot, and everyone thinks that no one does roasts like us. Usually hubbie does the carving for no particular reason. I cook and he carves, that's our division of labor.
We rarely buy a whole roast; even at Christmas we just buy the breast of a turkey. My dad sometimes buys cheap whole roast. Hicken and turkey, which no one else but him wants to eat, yet it is my mum's job to cook, carve, and serve it up.
Who ever gets to it first, mainly me.
I just use a good knife I have.
#dittojonaj . . . . I was thinking "Whoever gets to it first!" . . .and then scrolled down. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. *jinx*

I'd call it "hacks " the roast in my case as my husband usually cooks the roasts. We've good carving and filleting knives but he just can't slice thinly. I can make a chicken go far, but not him. We haven't used an electric knife for years. As a matter of fact I noticed ours in a cupboard in the back room. Very likely we just became tired with assembling and cleaning it.
my father always carved the sunday roast at the dining table that was along time ago when I was young.
I wonder if people still carve the meat at the table.

I have not cooked a roast in years as I live alone now!! I cannot even remember who cut, carved or pulled the roast to pieces and I know that we never used an electric knife! When I was a child, my darling dad did the carving of the roast, it was almost like a tradition.
Me.
Every single time... #becauseiamfussy
I don't have an electric knife. I'm not very good at carving and either is my husband. Whoever is there when its time carve does the carving

As chicken is the only meat I have as a roast I carve it. Not really carve more like quarter. When my sister and I once cooked a few chickens for Christmas dinner she carved . She was more confident than I was.
I don't have an electric knife.
My husband carves the meat, he is the cook in our household, most of the time. I know I am better at carving the meat, but I'm happy enough to let him play with the knife!

Whoever is free at the time!
