I am a firm believer in not letting that go.
It has become a thing of the past, but I love to take pen in hand, and write.
I found also that my hand did get a cramp! how bad is that.Well how sad is it too.
As a young person I was always writing, l loved to buy nice paper and envelopes, way back in 1965 and on.The letter I wrote yesterday, l told my (older friend) that we had been writing to each other for the last 18 yrs.
I do try and not send the same 'kind' of letter, every time.
I also have been writing to my cousin in England non stop for 51 years.
It is not as many now, but we do still keep in touch.
Keep the letters going I say.
I don't know the last time I posted a letter. Even before email came in I rarely wrote to anyone. I stay in touch with family through birthday cards and phone calls, and I have no one else to write a letter to. At least personal letters. I have written letters when submitting to magazines/publishers.
I honestly can't remember the last time I sent a letter to someone. As a child I used to write so many letters - I had pen friends and I'd write to my grandparents. I've got some photos of the children to send off to my grandparents and I think that I will include a letter - my grandma and grandpa don't have e-mail or Skype!
