pedicure

Our feet need occasional TLC. Whether you did it yourself or someone else did it for you at home, or you got yourself pampered at a salon, when was the last time you got a pedicure? Did it turn out good?

Ive never had a pedicure. I don't like strangers touching me.
Keeping in mind your aversion to feet, Bryony, I would recommend you get one done. I was averse to the idea as well, but they really are invigorating. I felt like a new woman after having one done.

As you said, my foot aversion makes it a complete no no. I wouldn't find it relaxing at all. Just highly stressful.
It's been ages and boy can you tell! My poor tootsies need some love!
I had a professional pedicure about 2 years ago and afterwards got a really nasty nail infection. Since then, I do my own at home.
Exactly! my friend got a bad foot infection from going to a foot spa.
I saw how they clean down the spa each time, and it is disgusting.

It was awful and took ages to go away. I was horrified as I take really good care of my feet! I will never get a pedicure again.
There is no way I would ever go into a 'Salon' that do feet.

They do not clean the spa's well, and also I think of all those feet, with ''issues'', placing their feet in that warm infectious foot spa.
Sure they put clean water in, but having seen the cleaning process, which is nearly zero result for a clean foot bath.
I only once had someone do it for me, at a private place.
It was nice, but I was very 'shy'...when she did my feet.I could not stop feeling
I should be doing it myself.
I would like to try the one where you let all those crazy little fish eat away at your feet.
It's a bit gross, but I guess it would be an experience!
That would be awesome- maybe one day!
Well I think it is a natural way, and also if I go to the beach
I try to make sure my feet get a good does of wet sand, and the Ocean.
That is very good for feet! and costs nothing :)

I didi it 6 months back.. It was very good.
Unfortunately, I've never gotten one of these. At least not from a professional. My Wife did it at home. It was OK. i don't think I'm big on the idea though.
The first and last time I had a pedicure was the week before my wedding. The next one will be soon - a week before my brother-in-law's wedding.

I had one at a day spa a few months ago and it was great! I especially loved how my dry heels were completely reincarnated into lovely soft ones. Magic...and very, very relaxing.
I think I have only ever had one or two in my whole life!

Not something high on my list of priorities as I look after my feet as hate cracked heels so put cream on every few nights, and wear socks to bed so the cream works its way in.

I get one done every four weeks or so and never had any infections (touch wood).
I've never had one, I don't think I could let someone touch my feet.
Every four weeks', by my fully-accredited Podiatrist.

Good for feet, & me!

Would never, ever let my feet be touched by those filthy foot salons'.
Too many 'horror infections' aired by 'ACA'!

Infection can kill!
I haven't had this done for many years now, but at the time my feet felt lovely & soft after I had the pedicure. I thought iI was walking on a 'cloud'! (Not that I really knew what that would feel like of cause, & you couldn't anyway, because I'd fall through it.)

I've just found this question again! It was last month, in Canggu, Bali. I'll have another 1, next time we're in Bali, which I'm hoping will be in 2018. (It's just a nuisance that Qantas don't fly to Bali anymore.)
