Do you prefer a quiet holiday with not much going on or do you try to visit as many attractions as you can?

I would rather go to a few places I really like and spend a long time at each of them then hop from place to place and see a little bit of everything. For example, when I went to Paris I visited two museums and spent a day at each, really getting the time to savour the experience, and then a couple of landmarks. Seeing it all in a flash wouldn't suit me.
Sarah, I'm guessing you didn't have time to visit the Louvre in Paris, France because we needed a 3 day pass when we were last in Paris, France in 2002!

I love a complete full attraction holiday where there is no room for quiet. And then I need a holiday after that holiday! LOL
I'm more a quality over quantity kind of person, I would be much happier seeing/doing the 2 or 3 things that really peeked my interest than 20 things that were just okay.
I do try to see a lot.
But! I am still careful not to get too crazy, so that ..I can still enjoy the next day.
A lot of people get caught like that.
Even the younger ones. Then you have to stay behind one day, just to get some rest.To me, that is not fun.
When I was younger, I used to rush around seeing all the sites, but wisdom has taught me to slow down and appreciate a few highlights and have plenty of time to wander off the beaten tourist trail to connect more with the locals and have a real taste of the city I'm in.

Yes always! That's the whole point.
Try to plan 'mucho poss' as might not get back to that particular city!
We prefer quite holidays, like cruises. We hardly do anything in the ports except to look around, & find a post office to buy our 2 granddaughters a postcard each, & different stamps. That takes up 1/2 a day! Our 2nd last cruise was for 35 nights & we called into 13 ports. Yes we were able to send the girls a PC from EVERY port!
