Some folks seem reluctant to put their heating on or, once it is on, to turn it up. They boast about just putting on another layer of clothes as the temperature plummets.... So do you turn the heating up or do you rely on more layers to keep you warm?

This year my heater only went on a couple of times. I will put on more clothes and socks to keep warm rather than turn on the heater, I'm such a cheapskate!
Put on more clothes; it's better for the environment and better for your wallet. My parents, on the other hand, turn up the heat so much so that I avoid visiting them in winter.

Definitely clothes - "I'm not made of money you know!"
I tend to do both then get too hot! All or nothing I guess :)
I was brought up in a very frugal household and we rarely had the heating on, so now I can afford to have a warm home I do like to make the most of it. However, I have been left with some lingering aspects of my childhood so I do still put on more layers if I feel cold.
I do both!

I hate the cold and felt it badly this year, so I put on about 3 - 4 layers and was still cold so had to turn on the air conditioner every night.

I think it may be another thing as you age, that you feel the cold, however one of my friends turns up in one layer when I have four, so not quite true either!

I live in Cairns - it doesn't get cold enough to put heating on!! When the evenings started getting colder I would put on more suitable clothes - long trackie pants and jumpers. If it had gotten much cooler I probably would have turned the heating on.
when I was working I turned the heating up. Now I'm on Newstart allow which just covers bills I rug up, don't have much choice. I love summer ..........
I live in ireland and its not soo cold here yet.
put the heater on,
Never used a heater or the aircon last Winter. We both have snugglies and find that as our house is brick and we have wall to ceiling windows with shutters which are open 24/7 so the air can circulate, we don't feel the cold. Most days I still have my summer clothes on and if I feel a little cool on the arms I just put a light cardigan on.
