I'm not sure - I used to take my camera which was small but since writing for recipeyum, I have bought a bigger better camera and think this is a bit heavy to take on a holiday.
Also the phone cameras have imprroved so much in the last few years, so not sure which to take next time.

I take both, but mainly use my camera. I only use my phone for shots I'd like to post to social media right away. Any shot that actually matters, I use a true camera.
Both! For "real" photos I like to use a camera, but for candid photos on the go I use my mobile.
Both.
I like the quality of a camera picture but I do not currently have one so I use my phone . I had a camera on my last vacation but I loaned it out and the person lost it
I hope they gave you the money for it, Dwatk, or was it covered by travel insurance? It must have had some beautiful photos on it! How annoying.

We take both. We mainly use the camera but we take some photos using the mobile and we put them on FB for all our family and friends to see. The photos we take using the camera are of much better quality of course. Cameras can do so much more than mobile phones.
My mobile - but we do end up with professional type of photographs because my husband always carries his camera equipment as his hobby is photography.
When on holidays, I used my camera.
I usually just take my camera. On the last holiday, l took both. My photos always start with my meals on the flight & cloud photos as we usually have a widow seat, (but we weren't asked what do we take photos off!)

I take both but generally use my mobile more because I find Facebook has replaced the blog I used ot write when travelling. Looking back on some of my older photobooks and DVDs I realize that my camera pics are heaps better. Maybe my mobile pics will improve after the mobile camera course I am taking soon, but I doubt there will ever be the quality achieved with a camera..
Have you done your mobile camera course yet, Grann? Now long was it for, & did you think it was worth doing?

I am almost attached at the hand to my gorgeous Digital SLR camera!! I take photos of all sorts of stuff, and adore macro work as it is so amazing to get really close up and personal to everyday things!! Dew in the early morning, and the stamens of my fabulously gorgeous flowers have shown so many absolute delights to not only me, but also my friends! I also love taking photos of my animals, of sunsets/ sunrises, landscapes from mountain lookouts... the list just never ends! I have always had a very good camera, but when I worked, I did also have a really superb camera in my mobile phone and this was so easy to just have at the ready when and if required. However, I no longer have a mobile phone as I simply do not require one anymore.I get so much joy from using my camera whether at home or elsewhere and it goes almost everywhere with me!
I take my camera. I have a fairly small lightweight camera because I don't have a car and I was mindful of weight and space when I bought the camera. Therefore I quite often take my camera even on day trips. The camera on my phone is useful as a back up or when I don't have my camera with me.
