What's your favourite type of holiday?

Some love sun tanning on a sandy beach. Others would rather go for an active hiking break. There are also those who cannot give up the urban comfort and fun. What's your favorite type of holiday?

For me it always depends on how busy my life has been. If I am completely worn out, I sometimes would prefer an all-inclusive getaway so I can just relax and recharge. These are few and far between, I often look for a more active getaway which takes me into the middle of nowhere. The further away from civilization the better.
At this point in my life, I prefer the type of holiday where I go somewhere new and different and can soak it all in.

Which is why I am so excited for my trip to Spain and France this year! I want to see it all, do it all, eat it all, and hardly sleep!
I hope you will enjoy it. I liked both countries equally and would love to visit them again.
I would love to go on a cruise.
Not worrie about anything....all meals and lots of fun!
Yep that will do for me.
I went on a lot of beach holidays growing up, so while the beach is pretty, I'm kind of over it. I burn easily and I'm not keen on fishing so the beach becomes a bit dull after a while. I enjoy holidays in the mountains with bushwalking and stuff like that, or the kind where you stay in civilisation and go to museums and art galleries, look at historical buildings etc.
Depending on why I'm going on vacation in the first place - if it's to get away from the monotony of life, then I prefer to pick a place like Fiji or Bali for the tropical happiness.

But if I have a timely vacation, then I try to keep it packed with adrenaline-rushing stuff such as skydiving, scuba diving, or indoor firing :)
One where I can escape in the sunshine and switch off from all technology :)
That's a good one, Justine. I don't really succeed to cut the cord, not even during vacations.
I used to go to Europe and we hired a car and drove around. I loved that.
Now that I am single and have a back problem, I no longer can lift, so I have no choice but to go on cruises where it is all done for me.

I love cruises as I love eating, and I spend my time going from one meal to another and having fun.

It is perhaps not my favourite holidays however it is the only one I can cope with right now, and I have always had a good time on cruises.

Once the ship broke down in the middle of nowhere and we missed visiting a few islands, so we got most of our money refunded and had the cruise anyway!anyway
