Christmas is a time for merriment, over indulgence and relaxation with those near and dear to us. When December comes round though, many of us need a subtle push in the right direction to shake off the bah-humbugs and get into the festive spirit.
What better way to start the festivities is there than settling down with a tin of Quality Street and sticking on your favorite Christmas film. If you choose a good one, you'll soon be feeling merry and in the spirit of things. Choose badly and you'll feel more Grinch like than ever.
What's your favourite Christmas flick? Do you watch a different Yuletide film every year or do you have a favorite that you pull out every holiday season?
An olde but a heart warming goodie for me is It's a Wonderful Life. It's a beautiful Christmas story that sends some lovely messages. I also enjoy Elf for a Christmas giggle, The Holiday for a light Christmas romance, A Christmas Carol for some musical numbers and Miracle on 34th St for some more feel good factor!
Mine is 'A Very Merry Pooh Year'. A family favourite since I was a child, and unbeatable in my opinion. It teaches young children what Christmas is all about, while the characters are so sweet and innocent that they stay with you long into adulthood.
Two that I love :
One is any production(as long as it isn't animated) of A Christmas Carol. heart warming, and shows the true meaning of Christmas
One is The Homecoming starring Patricia Neil and John Boy out of The Waltons.
I don't just like them, I love them.
