The last thing I recorded was either Broadchurch.or The Good Wife, both of which I really like.
I record a lot as I go to bed early and watch TV and generally miss half the programme asI fall asleep.
I find it easier to record it than to try and watch i view or whatever on my "smart" TV's. I find with these tv's that it takes so long to actually get it started that sometimes I give up, and so tend to record.
I truly cannot recall either the last thing or the last time I recorded anything at all!!
I am not a huge tv watcher, and if I miss something,it just isn't a big deal to me!! I can always wach it on my computer, via Iview or a similar catch-up channel, if I really feel the need to do so!!
Thinking about this, I don't think I have EVER recorded anything off the tv. In the days before podcasts and iPlayer, I used to record radio shows - I had a programmable tape/radio specially for this! - but that's donkeys years ago now.
Just last week, because it was starting at 10.30pm and I had an early start the next morning, a show based on the 'excavating under European cities' about Sydney.
I can't set a timer anymore with the set top box set up so have to just set it to the right channel to record and then the tape just runs out during the night. I then have to find the start of the program, but this works.
Just taped rpt of 'Body of Proof'. Sorry it was xxld by TV network in USA, as it was one show I really enjoyed.
Glad to see make actor with curly hair, who played the 'nerdy dr' in it is now in a USA political TV series.
And occasional 'squint' ('alcoholic' male?) part on 'Bones', that actor is 2IC to Dr Morgan in 'Forever'.
We haven't recorded anything, for I don't know how many years, so I have no idea now what I last recored. We ended up having to throw out about 40 tapes that I had recorded shows onto that I was going to watch....later! (Back then!!!) Then we got a new tv, & couldn't watch those old tapes! Too bad! I have iview & SBS on Demand I can watch now. (Easy come, easy go!)
