We've got a queen sized Ikea foam mattress. It's about 6 years old and about due to be replaced. We've loved it, and will likely buy the same mattress again, we went through quite a few mattresses together that we didn't like before finding this one.
I think we have a combination of spring and latex. I am not quite sure since my husband bought it when I was out of country. It doesn't seem to be working well for me. I wake up everyday with shoulder pain. Now I want to buy something that is much more firm.
It is...and it isn't?!*!
I just find it good for me.
But remember a mattress is very personal,I can't see
the label, so it could be on the other side.
Best thing to do...go in and try them, because like shoes, we all have different feet.
With beds, it's all about support and your back.
You may hate them?
I have a lot of problems with my mattresses, so I would
not want to steer you in the wrong direction... :)
But so far Ikea is good for me.
I have a lot of spine problems, so have bought a custom made mattress that was VERY expensive but worth every penny. It has pocket springs and a memory foam layer on the top. If I sleep on any other mattress, I end up in a lot of pain but this mattress ensures a comfortable night and the ability to move in the morning.
Firm dense mattress, little spring if any. Want to change. Had expensive memory foam topper from John Lewis but ended up discarding. Found it hard to move around. That can be problem with mem foam. Next time will try Ikea!
