Nature makes me feel alive. I love the feeling of a gentle breeze, the smell of flowers, the smell of rain on the hot earth in summer, the sound of rain on a tin roof, looking at flowers and birds. I love going for a walk by the river or the beach.
Travel and discovering something new makes me feel alive.
I love the excitement of going somewhere (even if I've been there before) as there is always something new to discover. Even better is experiencing this with someone you love and loves travelling as much as I do.
Air travel, car travel, train or ferry, I love travel and feeling all my senses awaken.
God and His creations - a beautiful sunrise, taking photos in the rain, fog, mist, one flight takeoff where I was virtually looking down on the moon in the early hours of the morning, the ocean, lightning and thunder, a vivid sunset, a rainbow (even better, a double rainbow). If you don't notice these wonderful events, stop and look. They're free and they'll make you feel alive.
I think it's the sky, whether day or night. I look up and I see clouds, impossibly blue sky, velvet night sky with shimmering stars and the moon . . . it somehow makes me feel a part of something ageless.
