My dream wedding (which I had actually) was not about the place. It was about the people. I wanted my family and friends to be there, the ones who were very special to me, and the ones I knew would have well wishes for me. I cannot remember anyone who I wished was there, and wasn't! :) So my dream came true.
Its down to personal choice, but I felt that I had the dream wedding. It wasn't about the venue, the flowers or the food (although these were all nice choices), it was about having my family and friends around me to share in the special occasion. My family flew from Australia to England to share my day and that meant the world to me. Friends came from all over and every where I looked on my day, I saw someone who was important to me. Marrying the perfect man might have also contributed. I'll not remember my wedding flowers in years to come, I think my husband has already forgotten what we ate on the day, but I will never forget being blessed enough to be surrounded by special people.
I was lucky enough to have my dream wedding. A beautiful castle venue in Scotland, friends and family from near and far and of course my wonderful husband. The best part for me was the vows we had written ourselves. They were special and funny at the same time.
