Things that feel more like fun than exercise are the most enjoyable and maybe also when you take a friend along too. For me this can be cycling on a bright sunshiney day with my family, or a dance class with a girlfriend, or roller blading next to the coast. Exercise outdoors in the fresh air never fails to bring a smile to my face and when you're smiling you forget that you're exercising too!
Swimming is definitely a great form of exercise. Definitely cleansing, you feel fantastic all over. Also like yoga, and the Les Mills version called Body Balance. Body Attack is great for adrenalin sensations in keeping fit. Then again, it all depends on the person.
When you find an activity you love to do it no longer feels like a chore to excercise. I really love to run. It's essentially free (only equipment required are good shoes and a quality sports bra for the ladies) and you can do it almost anywhere. It clears my head and keeps me fit.
I find martial arts such as Karate a great way of keeping fit while strengthening the body. The benefits are manifold including physical fitness and mental agility, also great for gaining stress relief.
Sports are usually the most fun way to get exercise. I used to enjoy playing badminton on a regular basis. Group sports are great if you like to socialise, but if you prefer to be on your own, then going for a bike ride, or roller skating is a good solitary sport to enjoy.
Zumba is lots of fun!The music is great, and even if you can't keep up with all the fast and fancy moves, you'll have a blast. Bollywood and bellydance classes are also a good laugh (especially when you go with friends), for the same reason....great music, that just makes you want to dance! Iceskating and rollerskating are also very enjoyable...
