Like the picture -I wish I was better at training dogs.

I always have problem dogs somehow, and because I treat them like people, I have problems disciplining them.

I also wish I was better at being patient with all people, even those I do not like!

Making decisions, being strong willed, speaking to people, navigation, drawing, maths, the list goes on.
Languages - I would like to be able to speak other languages
by AJ
Yes, AJ, can come in handy! I did German at School Grade IX to XII, inclusive. Two years' later, had opportunity to spend a month with an elderly couple, in Vienna who couldn't speak English!

So we got by ok. Met many of their friends' who COULD speak English, & we had great fun, as they practised it on me!

Maths....I have always been good at English instead!

Ditto, yello! Hated Maths all through School. The basics' were fine, but once got into Maths II, forget it; made no sense to me whatsoever!
ENGLISH, on the other hand! Topped all from start to finish! Loved it, couldn't get enough of it, still can't! Get ENGLISH Lit. etc DVD's from 'The Great Courses' (Google it!) & they keep me occupied plus lots of other interesting Courses from them......Astronomy, the Histories, Anthropology, Geology etc etc etc!

I never learned how to ride a bike and swim!! I made sure that my son was brilliant at both of these pursuits from a really young age,so that he would enjoy many things which I did not due to my inability to do these 2 things!! The same is true of Driving a car! I am the world's BEST passenger though, truly!!!
There are many other things I wish I was better at too! Typing (I tap with 2 fingers!!), Playing music, speaking other languages,or at least understanding them, And I wish I was better at saying NO when am just unable to do things!!!
Oh! Jules, 'Tis a shame you missed out on those 3 abilities'. But at least you gave your son what you hadn't had the opportunity to have. How marvellous for him!

I loved swimming. Was School & Open Champion at all strokes, two years' in a row.
My cousin (male) taught me to ride a two-wheeler bicycle. My Parents' bought me an 'Ashby' for my 8th Birthday. All of us neighbourhood kids' would ride after school, & on weekends. Great fun had by all!
I learnt to drive on my boyfriend's 'Datsun 1600' manual geared car. I've no idea what life would be like, without the ability to drive. The convenience & freedom is marvellous!

Jules, I also can't ride a bicycle, & neither can my youngest daughter. And iI also only type with 2 fingers, even though I learnt a bit of typing at high school & used a typewriter at home, after my school days. And I'd love to draw a lot better than I do!

Oh, miro!! I feel so much more 'normal' now, after reading your comment! Thank you so much! I could always draw and I could write from age 4, so these are real blessings for me, as I went into Sign writing and display as my career!! It was back when all work was done by brush and pen, as computers were not around then!! I still love to do a bit of calligraphy when I get the time!!

Avoiding sweet things, like chocolate cake lollies.

I will have to do it, and come Sep 1st (they are banned for a whole month)!

Anyone want to do the challenge with me....seriously!
I'm trying to do this now and every now and then I slip but I think if you don't have a little something every now and then you'll eventually go off the rails in a big way! It's been 6 weeks and I've cut out cake, biscuits, chocolate, lollies. Have to say I really don't miss them. But still wouldn't trust myself to be left alone with a box of chocolates!
I wish I had more Will power!
Thanks Sandy :)

Being places on time. I'm improving, but every now and then I really mess it up.
I would love to be able to learn different languages I've travelled a lot and I'm hopeless at picking up any other language. And most of all to have more patience as I get older I don't suffer fools easily and I wish I did some people are ao lovely with all people
Handwriting. I used to have neat beautiful writing, now I just seem to scrawl. Sometimes even I can't read it.
I wish I was patient with people, I also wish I was better at telling people my mind instead of being a hypocrite
Time management. I am a real "maņana" girl :(((
