I think we get subtle messages every day. If we don't listen, they manifest in other ways, often as emotional upheaval or even illness. I think the best way to get the messages is through meditation and being still.
I try to listen to what my body or others close to me are telling me. It's the little observations that give me messages. For example I know when I am worrying too much, as I am not sleeping. I know when I don't exercise enough because I put on weight or I feel sluggish. When I eat the wrong foods I get breakouts. Health aside, my friends or family also make thoughtful observations and I listen to these life messages. Right now, I think I know what the messages are, but I'm likely not acting enough on them. I know there are things I should do, or I should change but I'm not prioritising them enough. Maybe it's time for a list.
I think we all need quiet 'time out' on a regular basis so we're aware of the many messages that we're all constantly getting. I lead quite a busy life, and at the moment my 'messages' are suggesting that I slow down a bit, look more within and be true to myself. When I do this regularly I feel increased energy and creative inspiration, but if I neglect it, I find I start to quickly feel tired and run-down.
