What detergent do you use to wash your woolens in ? They tend to pick up so much lint and also leave some in washer. Do you handwash them?

Wool wash with eucalyptus oil. We don't seem to get much lint.
Any woolens should be hand washed with a ''special wool wash'' on the shelf at the supermarket.
They should be washed alone, in only just warm water.Place the garment in the laundry tub, and just wash very slowly.Take out after say washing for a few mins....and then rinse in * only just warm water....Do not wring-out, but just push out any water with gentle hand motions.
Dry laying it flat on a clean surface.I myself will put it in my washing machine on a very gentle spin, to get rid of excess water.
What an awesome jumper. I tend to hand wash my woollens or, if I'm lazy, I throw them into a delicates bag and into the wash with Earth Choice Wool & Delicates Wash.

I am using a slightly strange German wool/silk detergent at the moment, as that was all I could buy when living in Germany. Now we are back in the UK, I intend to find a better detergent!
My machine has a gentle cycle designed for handwash and woollen items which I use. Then I dry them flat.
I find lint mostly comes not from washing but from wearing! And it depends a lot on the actual garment - different kinds of wool produce different amounts of lint but they all get washed the same here!
Excuse me for being picky ---woollens has double l
Hand washing is best for delicate woollens , gentle cycle is O.K. for tougher garments.
Hand wash with mild detergent.

Have ALWAYS used 'Softly', IF have to wash woollens.

Usually get them Dry Cleaned, though.
