I'm sure you've had at least one of those "I can't do anything right" days - we all have.

What do you do to turn it around?

I typically take the rest of the day off, have a nap, brew a second pot of coffee and start the day over.
Good one.

I would choose the most straight forward task and work through that. Even if that isnlt the highest priority at least it keeps me going and I achieve something.
I have them frequently, and I usually just hate myself until the day is over and then try to start again.
Take a brief alone moment, collect myself and get back out there.

Ah! yes...one of those days.

Well because I no longer have to stay home with young children...or ...answer to anyone, really, I down tools and get in my car.

I head for the nearest supermarket.
Go to the cold desserts isle, and buy some wonderful mousse or chocolate thingy to eat. They come in a 2 pack.

I then get back in my car, find a nice place to park...and take in the calm, peace, and have my little 2 snacks.

Forget everyone else....Then I get maybe to a Op shop, have a look around...or go buy something.

Just have some me time.

Works really well for me.

It only happens every blue moon, say half dozen times a year!

My Pic is of the Park that is not far away, so pretty lucky! :)
Love it.

Looks a lovely, peaceful scene with creek. Love looking at creeks, very relaxing!

Fond something that does work and build from that
I would probably stay home alone, or else I may go into my voluntary job where I would forget about doing things right!

The pictured sign says it all. That's what I do!
I then do something that pleases me eg listen to favourite music, watch a fav tv show, watch a fav movie, have something I love to eat, even if I have to go to a shop to get it, a hot cuppa, followed by a nice glass of quality Oz red wine!
Then to sleep!
I laugh at myself and say thank goodness this does not happen too often! Maybe not do anything too serious just in case it goes bad and wait until I am back to "normal". I do like some of your suggestions like treating oneself, that always makes me fee better yay!
Those days typically involve blood. Mine. I am a klutz. If I hurt myself more than twice in a morning, I give up, make a cup of tea, sit on my bed and read. Usually with a bandaged finger or two or a mangled toe. LOL

Mangled toes are truly painful.

If I am having a bad day I step away from important jobs and work on something simple. If I cannot walk away I take some deep breaths and try to sort things out.
If I am at home I have a nap and see how I am when I am well rested. On a very bad day , I pull the blankets over my head and stay put so I avoid further harm.
annfi, I like this approach. A lot!
by Vee
Haha-some says it is the only way Vee.
