I don't work, however I still get up while it is still dark as I go to bed rather early.

Sometimes it is just starting to get light, and I look forward to warmer weather when it is light earlier and not so cold -I think the coldest time is as the sun is just rising.

I have always been an early riser whether working or not,as I have just adore the very pure and peaceful hour around dawn,as the birds are beginning to wake and chirrup joyously with the rising sun!!! As a teenager in Melbourne,I would wait for my lift to work, while it was still dark and often foggy to the point that only the street lights could actually be seen!!What a stunning time of day!!!
When I went to school it was almost always still dark. Now I work from home, I don't have to get up as early, so it isn't anymore.
I am not fussed about dark or light, I get up when I feel it is the right time which usually works out to be 6am, unless I am meditating which is 5am
Every day is a working day for me! For most of the year, it is dark when we get up, just a few brief months over the summer when the sun rises before me.
I work very small hours a week, but I do go into work, if I have a bit to do....and when the Sun has not even come up.

In winter it is just awful, but summer it's lovely.
I don't do it much,thank goodness. :)
I tend to be a morning person so rise around 7am, having woken up at 6am and gone back to bed with a cuppa to lie in and listen to the radio for awhile! Don't have to get up to go into an office anymore...work for myself part time.

I wake up early because I have to say prayers before sun rises. So work or not, prayer time is early enough. Then after sending the kids to school, sometimes, i take a nap, or just keep going. Sometimes, I do feel like sleeping in.
If I'm going for a run. Otherwise I can usually sleep until after dawn at least, depending on the kids.
Yes! I don't like getting up in the dark - looking forward to brighter mornings!

I'm not a morning person and don't have a job now, but still get up early two weekdays to help out at a local breakfast program, and Sundays for church.
On the weekdays, it's still dark when I leave home and I can't see if it's raining or not, which affects my plans for the rest of the day.
No, I don't thank heavens.
Earlier in my career yes. I in times past got up to write lesson plans or mark test papers. Its at these times that I can get the most work done.
I get up around 7.30, now that I am at home. When I was studying and working, I used to wake up much earlier. But that time I was in India, in tropical countries, it is light very early.
Yes, 5 days a week as I start work at 0645. However it's worth it because early start means early finish! And I much prefer to have time for me during the afternoon and evening than in the morning.
Whilst working, used to have a 7am start as one of my shifts. In Winter to get to work on time, got up at 4.30am, caught train at 5.55am. Next train didn't arrive city until 6.55am, too late, & that's something I couldn't be.
I don't have working days, & as I go to bed at about midnight every night, I try to sleep in until 7.30, then go for my 3k walk at 7.50 with a friend who lives close by. So no, It's never dark when i get up!
