Scotland has just lowered the drink-drive limit for their roads, leaving the legal limit in England and Wales the highest in Europe. Are there any circumstances when you think it is safe to drink and drive?
I will occasionally drive if I have had one drink, but no more. I personally just don't think it is worth the risk - and by risk I am referring to the risk that I could kill someone rather than the risk most people are afraid of - being caught.
I think any amount of alcohol in your body must affect your driving to some extent, trying to work out the limit that is still safe seems wrong to me - just don't drink at all if you're driving.
My husband thinks if he doesn't have much and it's with a meal then it's ok, it's one of the few "safety" issues we disagree about. I hate it when he drives after a couple of drinks, no matter what he says about safe levels and food etc.
No it is never safe to do so.
Any one that thinks different should have their licence taken away and put in a room with the families who have lost loved ones because of selfish people who think it is ok to even have one drink and drive. I would love to see someone stand in that room and explain why it would be ok to drink and drive.
