No.
Being my very first day, I'm not aware of the issues, I have had no experience in that work place...and it doesn't affect me, until the day is over.
The day would have needed to begin and end, and even then I would be more than likely day 2, unable to really understand the issues.

I don't believe we should always follow the masses, that is one way to become a sheep.
Better to be a sheep, rather than an outcast. Jonah haven't you ever worked with women.
Even on my first day, and despite my ignorance of events leading to the strike action, I'd still join in......if I knew what was good for me.

I have worked with women...and still do, and don't like too.
I would still sit it out, I have seen a lot of things backfire....

Probably not, as doing so might risk your new job.
I suppose it would depend why they were striking. It would be awkward either way.
Great question. I would begin to evaluate whom i am working for. Not a good look on ones first day. May even look for another job.
I don't think so. Not a good start.

No
I would want to, for fear of being ostracised from my co-workers.

But no, I probably wouldn't. For fear of losing my job. I'm in no position to turn down money.
Of course not! Maybe there's a Judas goat in the pack, and I'm not going to the slaughterhouse.
If Union Member, you've got no choice as you'd HAVE to.

If not Union Member, no.
I doubt it very much.
